Welcome to Field Formatter site. The purpose of this web is to allow customers to download our Field Formatter application.
In a nutshell, the old application was Item ID Update which simply tacked a zero onto the end of the QITEMID fields found in any table in the Bien001.mdb database. The configuration was sloppy since it only used a UDL file to point to a database.
The newer version named Field Formatter will allow the user to select the database, specify which tables and which fields to format, and will cycle through the data in those fields and format it.
Remember, this is not the usual way format is thought of. This Formatter will actually turn the id number 01234 into 012340 if the format specified is 000000. It does a simple concatenation specifically designed for inventory systems and such where additional numbers may need to be added, and the preceding digits are significant. |
